Dr. Neetu Sharma is Assistant Professor at the National Centre for School Leadership, NIEPA. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Education from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Dr Sharma’s thesis focussed on the effectiveness of online learning strategies in teacher education. Her research interests cut across integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Educational Technology (ET) into teaching and governance practices.

Prior to joining NCSL, Dr. Sharma worked as an Assistant Professor at KIIT College of Education, Gurugram where 8 students completed their post-graduate dissertations under her supervision in the Department of Education. She has served in various capacities henceforth, as an Academic Consultant at CIET-NCERT contributing to NISHTHA and ICT Curriculum aimed at enhancing teacher education through ICT and ET. Further, she has an experience of developing and reviewing e-content for in-service teachers. In her capacity as an Academic Consultant at National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Dr Sharma was actively engaged in designing and developing ITEP syllabi and in creation and development of self- assessment tools for teachers aligned with the domains and standards outlined in the NPST Guiding Document. She has contributed significantly to research and publications, with papers published in reputable journals and presentations delivered at national and international conferences. Dr. Sharma has also conducted numerous workshops and capacity building sessions on various educational topics, demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Additionally, she has designed innovative teaching materials like online bulletins and brochures. Her areas of interest include ICT/ET, leadership in education, and capacity building of in- service and pre-service teachers.

Dr. Sharma has a track record of leadership and organizational skills, evident from her roles as ICT In-charge, IQAC Coordinator, admission committee member, and coordinator for various events, workshops, regional/ national level consultative meets and initiatives. With a plethora of achievements, awards, and recognitions to her name, including a Gold Medal in M.Ed. and the prestigious "CHHATRA-VIBHUSHAN" award, Dr Sharma stands as a testament to dedication and excellence in the field of education further solidifying her credentials as a distinguished educator and academician.

At NCSL, Dr Sharma is engaged across verticals at the National level and co-ordinates School Leadership Academies in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Tripura and Sikkim.
