Dr. Puja Singhal is working as a Assistant Professor at National Centre for School Leadership. She is Gold medalist in Economics and has a Doctorate from the Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Before joining NCSL, she was associated with V.V. Giri National Labor Institute under Ministry of Labor and Employment where she contributed to policy-based projects. Prior to that, she worked with Amity University, Noida as an Assistant Professor. She has more than 18 years of professional experience in research, training and teaching in Economics, specifically in the area of gender and labor issues.

Her areas of special interest are labour economics, e-Learning, Innovation in education, skill development and school leadership. Some of the major research studies undertaken by her include: Implementation of The Equal Remuneration Act, 1976, Research Study on The Impact of The Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017 in IT /ITES Industry, ICT Imperatives to Bridge the Digital Divide: Gender Perspective, Gender Parity in Education and Employment: A Global Perspective, Gaps in Education and the World of Work: A Gender Perspective. She was also part of PAN-African E-Learning project. She has given lectures in international and national level training programmes on various themes. At NCSL, she is developing materials on school leadership development. She is working closely with the following states as the National Coordinator: Manipur, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Mizoram and Goa.
