Dr. Subitha G. V has completed her PhD in Education from the Regional Institute of Education, Mysore. She is currently employed as Assistant Professor at the National Centre for School Leadership at NIEPA. She has a total of 8 years plus experience in material development, capacity building and research in the area of school leadership. She coordinates school leadership development programmes in following states- Assam, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Telangana in collaboration with the respective state level School Leadership Academies. Her research interests are in the area of school leadership and teacher education and she has published articles in national and international journals.

Her current training and research focus areas include school leadership and its influence on student learning and analyzing school leadership in schools situated in challenging contexts. She coordinated the One Month Certificate Programme in School Leadership Development at NCSL for three years. As a team member of Working Groups for planning and implementation of NEP-2020 at NIEPA, she has actively contributed in areas such as School Complexes, Educational Governance and Teacher Development. She is also part of the NCSL team at NIEPA that is involved in developing Resource materials, in collaboration with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for capacity building of school principals and teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya schools in key areas proposed under NEP-2020.
