JOURNEY OF SCHOOL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

State Institute of Educational Management and Training (SIEMAT) in collaboration with National Centre for School Leadership (NCSL), National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) had begun the journey of school leadership development in 2016 with the prime motive of transformation of schools to schools of excellence. School Leadership Academy (SLA) in the existing building of SIEMAT in the premises of District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Shamlaghat became functional and started organizing the leadership and management programmes for school heads. SLA, Himachal Pradesh is involved in capacity building workshops for state leadership teams, one month certificate course in school leadership and management, documentation and development of materials like modules, case studies, video documentaries of schools on school leadership development for dissemination of good work done.
