JOURNEY OF SCHOOL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Itanagar, was designated as the School Leadership Academy (SLA) of the State in 2016, and the activities under SLA began to be implemented henceforth in collaboration with National Centre for School Leadership (NCSL), National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA). After the SCERT was designated as SLA, video documentaries were developed showcasing the leadership of School Heads. These video documentaries have been developed by SLA with grants received from NCSL, NIEPA. The schools were selected that had received the “Best Performance School” award at the district or state level. In order to know the status of such an award-receiving school, members of the School Leadership Academy, along with a team of expert video developers, photographers and editors, spearheaded to document the same at the ground level. It was done to showcase the achievement and community participation initiatives of the said locality for developing the school’s infrastructure and enhancing its performance level. The schools have significantly witnessed potential changes as reflected in the excellent condition of the schools.
