FOREWORD
The School Leadership Academy (SLA) as an extended arm
of SCERT organizes School Leadership Development Programmes
(SLDP) for School Heads in the State in accordance with the National
Curriculum for School Leadership designed by NCSL-NIEPA, New
Delhi.
As a part of one year engagement in the SLDP, the SLA-
SCERT has organized two day review cum feedback workshops for
the School Heads who were trained in two spells in the year 2018.
The purpose of these workshops has been to showcase the
interventions/innovations that were implemented in the respective
schools during post initial training.
The SLA-SCERT made efforts to capture the reflections of
the School Heads about the SLDP programme and its effect on their
journey towards transformation of schools with the title Reflections:
School Leadership Practices in Telangana. This document gives
insight of the various school leadership and management practices
being implemented in the Secondary Schools in the Government
Sector in different districts. It also indicates the way forward for the
School Leaders to move ahead with more innovations to make school
as an interesting and vibrant learning hub in realization of “Every
Child Learns and Every School Excels”.
