Zilla Parishad High School and Junior College Asgaon was started in 1956. It is
situated in the middle area of Pauni taluka. This area is mainly rural and known for

agricultural products. The farmer of this area is economically poor and does not pay too
much attention to the education of their children. This school took initiative for the
education of students, of near about villages. Students from near about 20 km come to this

school. There is strong bonding in between the social life of villagers and school.

Activities conducted by school -

1) Publication of magazine -

GAVGANDH (Marathi Magazine) is related to the local History of the village. The
village has a Historical background and Ancient temple. Old cultural information is
collected through the old villagers by taking their interviews.
