Abstract

The school has built strong relations with community and parents, with the prime
objective of improving enrolment. Some of the strategies are developing exclusive
advertisements for our school in local channels, preparing brochures and digital boards.
Parents are kept updated with school activities through school diary. The school boasts
of an E-library having more than 1,00,000 books, 4000 videos and 5000 tutorials. It
helps students to access these books without internet which is first time in Tamil Nadu
Government schools. To create interest and enjoyment in learning, creative learning is
enhanced through smart class. An exclusive website www.rmhschool.com is created
especially for this school. Every year annual day is celebrated in the name of Award
Day honouring students and teachers for their excellence in academic and non academic
performance. With continuous support and encouragement of the parents, public,
teachers and students, the school has received ―Best High School Award‖ and "Swatch
Bharat Award" to name a few.

Socio-Cultural Context of the School

Ramanathan Chettiar Municipal Government High School is situated at the heart of the heritage
town Karaikudi in Sivagangai District, Tamil Nadu.

In 2013 -2014 the school had upgraded as high school from middle school. The student strength
during 2013 -2014 is 218 with 10 Teachers.
