The HM felt that SLDP has influenced his nature of work as a school
leader and paved the way towards progress in transformation of the school as
‘center of excellence’. The key areas of SLDP enabled the HM to understand the
school leadership thereupon as a change agent. The Head Teacher started to
believe in himself and started showing readiness to take up challenges that he is
facing at the school. With a vision, passion and confidence, the Head Teacher has
become a role model to his colleagues. The Head teacher believes that Peter
Senge’s 5 disciplines- personal mastery, shared vision, mental models, team
learning and system thinking knowledge have helped in their endeavor to
transform the school as a learning organization
The learning made through ‘Johari window’ has helped to minimize the
Hidden area in him by exposing to open are more and more. It has helped to
prioritize the issues and has become a wonderful tool in work division. They have
realized that the teaching and learning process plays a pivotal role in dynamics of
learning and understood the need to evolve the teaching learning process
according to the needs and demands of the changing world. They are also working
on the way to transform it from teacher centered to child centered. Based on
Tuckmanan’s 4 stage of building teams, the Head teacher is trying to build well
organized teams. He is able to conduct staff meetings in cordial atmosphere,
recognizing the contributions of each team member, and leading teams with
necessary support system.

Students committees like balasabha committee, cultural committee, quiz
committee, are formed, where students are made responsible in conducting the
school activities. The school also celebrated the constitution day where the
students were encouraged to participate in talent tests on different subjects. To
create a sense of ecological balance, students were encouraged to participate in
tree plantation program i.e., Haritha Haaram, and visits to nearby woods under the
program ‘Vanadarshini’ and awareness programs against alcohol and drug abuse
were taken up.
