3 Saturday the school organizes school cleanliness programme under Swachh
Patashala and through National Green Corps (NGC) tree plantation is done.
Each student adopts one plant and takes care of that plant. Wastewater
management is in place. The water used for washing of hands, utensils and
plates has been diverted for maintaining kitchen garden.
HYDERABAD DISTRICT
Govt. High School, Nallakunta, Hyderabad District – Head Mistress – Sarah Mani.
The school has designed a logo depicting the motto ‘Learn and Shine” and
also formulated school vision. All the students are given an opportunity to
conduct school assembly, where the students are categorized into four houses.
Each house has to take care of the school on a rotational basis for one week.
Health clubs are also started. Under CSR, a platform is constructed for the
students to take mid-day meals.
Established ‘Telugu Basha Sangham’ where every student has to contribute by
writing one folk story/song, subhashitalu, poem, article and in other literary
forms. To discuss the girls’ issues and for empowerment, ‘Balika manch’ has
been conceptualized. Self defence classes for girls are organized under Balika
manch.

School Heads coming early to schools, their presence in the school assembly
has a positive effect on teaching staff and students in the orderly conduct of
school assembly.
Display of substitution time table on notice board and taking the signature of
class leader helps in improving the optimum utilization of human resources
and improves the students’ engagement in academics.
Organizing Theatre day/Happiness sessions in every month to showcase the
talents of the students through performing arts.
Introduction of innovative activities to create interest, curiosity and newness in
the school routine activities.
Documentation of school activities in print/audio/video forms.
Every student on his/her birthday shall plant a tree in the school campus and a
sign board may be erected signifying ‘My Tree’ (Nenu, NaaMokka), which
gives the sense of one’s belongingness and helps in taking care of the plant.
