                              Inculcated the reading habit among the students and also in the teachers by
                          insisting  on  reading  books  in  the  school  library  and  conducting  sessions  on
                          book  reviews.    The  culture  of  giving  books  to  the  students  as  presentations
                          /prizes/gifts  is  being  practiced.  To  facilitate  the  use  of  school  library,  the
                          students  themselves  arranged  the  books  subject  wise  and  graded  as  per  the
                          class  level.  Students  are  made  to  place  the  book  after  reading  in  the  same
                          place.  This act has developed the sense of responsibility and knowledge on
                          arrangement of books in the library. The choice and taste of the students were
                          considered for procurement of library books.  Introduced ‘one-minute talk’ in
                          the  school  assembly  in  Telugu,  Hindi  and  English  by  the  students  on  any
                          general  issues,  about  the  contributions  of  national  leaders,  social  reformers,

                          scientists.  This  intervention  helped  the  children  in  improving  reading  and
                          writing skills.

                              Efforts are being made to maximize the participation of the students in co-
                          curricular activities by motivating them with a slogan “we can do”. Conducting
                          competitions  in  literary  programmes  such  as  in  moral  storytelling,  poetry
                          writing,  speech,  essay  writing,  quiz,  drawing,  and  in  number  games.  Teach
                          according  to  the  abilities  of  the  learners,  i.e.,  teach  at  the  right  level  is  the
                          strategy adopted in the classroom, teaching is paying dividends.  The students
                          are  exposed  to  science  labs  and  digital  content  has  helped  to  enhance  their
                          learning. Students are made to reflect on the contemporary issues reported in
                          the daily News, where the power of analytical thinking and reasoning is being
                          developed. Teachers and students are made aware of Time Management skills
                          by prioritizing the tasks which are urgent and important.
