distributed among the staff to ensure smooth functioning of the school. Focus
was given to improve School ambience, which is considered as one of the

essential factors in attracting students and parents and also helped to create a
                          congenial environment for learning.

The School Head started going to school half an hour early, and the
teachers followed suit, which has helped in maintaining the punctuality of the
school. The school responsibilities are shared among staff members to run the
school smoothly. Teachers maintain day wise dairies and are verified by the
School Head. Self-learning centers were started after school hours. Public
representatives’ help was sought for construction of a Compound wall, a bore
well and in mobilizing the parents to send their children to the school.

ZPHS – Peechara, Nirmal District : Head Master : Sri. Ramchandar,

Collaborative learning was promoted and group learning strategy was
implemented during the teaching-learning process. Adoption of low achievers
by the teachers has helped in improving the learning levels. A computer
instructor was arranged by the school for Rs 6000/- per month and functional
toilets are being maintained. After work distribution among the staff, now the
work is being done cheerfully, earlier it wasn’t so.

The School is yet to address the issues of non-usage of cell phones during
school hours, written lesson plans and lack of basic skills such as reading and
                          writing inmajority of the students.

After the SLDP, the School Head and the staff tried to resolve the personal
differences and are now on cordial terms. Team building is being valued in
school administration. Efforts were made to make the CCE a meaningful
exercise and discouraged the use of guides in the classroom and instead of only

focusing on the standards of the students of class-X, they are being monitored
right from class-VI itself. As part of this, remedial teaching for classes VI to X
are conducted through tutoring in the evenings. The school has taken measures
to maintain eco-friendly environment pits for waste: organic, recycle and
planning to make vermi-compost as well.

The school has yet to focus on acquisition of foundational skills and
                          improvement in attendance.

After the SLDP, the staff meetings are being organized effectively.
Provided facilities like white boards in the classroom and pen drives to
teachers. There has been improvement in the enrolment of the school. We are
yet to improve the school attendance and put restrictions on the use of cell
                          phones.
